Not to complain, but the instruction booklet seems to imply that you
would use fips (from 4.1 Help! I have no space! Do I need to delete
everything first?):
If your machine is already running DOS and has little or no free

space available for FreeBSD's installation, all is not lost! You
may find the "FIPS" utility, . . .
if you're running out of space, which I wasn't. As I said, I'm not
complaining (much); I suppose if I were more knowledgeable, it would
be crystal clear. . .
