The > code is fearsomely old and crufty. Cool, I wondered about that (searched the 4.4BSD archives, no luck). I may have worked with the SCCS code back in '85 (porting it to a UNIX server called PNX running under Accent, the forerunner of Mach), but my memory is fuzzy going that far back (I do remember the project being canned when I was well into the UUCP port... ;-) I have plenty of memories of the cruftiness of SCCS, but it would be nice when I eventually get a copy of the CSRG archives to be able to use it on those... Do you have the code handy so that I could take a look at it? I've been known to take a perverse enjoyment in dragging old crufty code into the modern era....
