Removing the second card and booting continues normally. Insert the second card and the system hangs - removing and everything works fine again. It appears to be just this particular card (Psion Dacom 56k+Fax Gold Card). Inserting an Adaptec 1460D in the second slot works fine. Inserting the modem card into first slot by itself - same hanging behaviour. THe ethernet card works fine as well. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- pcic1: Event mask 0xa pcic1: Event mask 0x2 pcic1: Event mask 0x6 pcic1: debounced state is 0x30000510 pccard: card inserted, slot 1 pcic1: Event mask 0x9 Aug 16 08:18:11 dt pccardd[1289]: Card "Psion Dacom"("Gold Card Global 56K+Fax") [56K+Fax] [V8.25] matched "Psion Dacom" ("Gold Card Global 56K+Fax") [(null)] [(null)] ### after a couple of seconds it freezes ### ejecting the card and it continues with sio4 at port 0x2f8-0x2ff irq 11 slot 1 on pccard1 sio4: typepcic1: Event mask 0x6 16550A Aug 16 08:18:23 dt pccardd[1289]: sio4: Psion Dacom (Gold Card Global 56K+Fax) inserted. pcic1: debounced state is 0x30000116 sio4: unloaded sio4: detached pccard: card removed, slot 1 Aug 16 08:18:23 dt pccardd[1289]: sio4: Psion Dacom (Gold Card Global 56K+Fax) removed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The last thing it does is print (on console in bold) is the 'sio4: ' line The typepcic1 come after ejecting.
