I just cvsup my sources and compiled my 4.5-STABLE kernel. Upon reboot, it halted at: Mounting root from ufs:/dev/ad0s2a I thought it might have been some misconfiguration, so I loaded kernel.old, and kernel.GENERIC and the same thing happened. A friend mentioned to me that he had a similar problem, and adding the following lines: hw.pcic.irc="0" hw.pcic.intr_path="1" to the /boot/loader.conf did the trick. I booted with fixit.flp and unfortunately, it didn't work for me.
