It can be confusing, people might not realize which one is the proprietary software. I myself wasn't sure about what the port was about until I looked into the makefile which led me to the google site: https://cgit.freebsd.org/ports/tree/www/linux-chrome/Makefile#n5 https://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/rpm/stable/x86_64/ This is the current description: Chrome is an open-source browser project that aims to build a safer, faster, and more stable way for all users to experience the web.
