Dear FREEBSD-ISP List members, I am conducting market research for a company that has created wireless networks for small businesses and home offices. This product has greatly expanded bandwidth, which will provide users with capabilities that extend far beyond typical networks. Before the product is released, we are attempting to measure the importance of certain features for various members of our target market. It is also crucial to get feedback from technical experts, like the ones that subscribe to FREEBSD-ISP. For this reason, I am distributing the following survey to members of the FREEBSD-ISP mailing list. It is only a few questions, so as to minimize bandwidth. Similarly, I ask that any responses are sent directly to me at the email address below so as not to interfere with any discussion beyond this initial message. Thank you for your time. Andrew Turitz USWeb em: aturitz@marin.usweb.com * * * * * * * 1) Where do you access your network from? Home____ Office _____ Home Office _____ 2) How many people are currently on your network? 3) Does your current network meet all your needs? If not, what would you change about your network (e.g. improved scalability, greater bandwidth, multimedia capabilities, etc.)? 4) Is your network currently wireless? If not, would you consider switching to a wireless network? Why or why not? 5) Assuming that a wireless network costs $250 with two nodes, how much above your current premium would you be willing to spend for a wireless network with expanded multimedia capability? 25 - 50% ($60 - $125) 50 - 75% ($125 - $200) 75 - 100% ($200+) 6) Are there any additional devices you would be interested in linking to your network (e.g. an alarm system, lighting, TV)? How valuable would this be to you? Thank you for your time! To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-isp" in the body of the message
