Under Linux, I used to get all channels in the mixer. Recently I get only two. Under FreeBSD I got he front channel only. I didn't care since I don't use the rear. The show-stopper for me with FreeBSD and the Live! is the noise. I get little clicks and static when playing mp3's for example. It's not a lot, but it's enough to annoy me. I wondered if it was incomplete mixer support, because you can cause problems like that under Windows if you overdrive anything with your setup. Right now I cannot get my Live! working 100% right under UNIX because none of the drivers have full mixer support. Since I don't have Windows any more, I cannot set things and then reboot either. Anyone else figure out how to access a full mixer with either FreeBSD or Linux? Full support for it's hardware mixer means controlling about five channels I believe. -- "Star Wars Moral Number 17: Teddy bears are dangerous in herds."
