It's very unlikely that the spam originates from anyone with a mailbox on a UU.NET system. You're probably seeing it from addresses which are in the foo.DA.UU.NET or bar.MS.UU.NET which are PPP pool addresses used by resellers of the dial network infrastructure. These would include MSN, AOL, Earthlink, the Well, WebTV and many others. If you tried to report this to abuse@uu.net and that didn't yield satisfactory results, please let me know. While "god ... knows which .. is repsonsible for it", there also a database and associated tools which can cough up the answer in short order and result in the requisite transitive pain/suffering. louie (also louie@UU.NET) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
