All magic happens in initializecpu(sys/i386/i386/initcpu.c) If geode reports himself as i586 then sse won't be enabled. Although some bioses allow it at startup. As a side note, I'm realy not sure that contemporary kernel can boot on IBM Blue Lightning or Cyrix 486SLC or even Cyrix 5x86, can anyone test it? -- Adios
