Of course. Here's a testcase: http://test.g-rave.nl/xhtml.xht The webserver is running XS-HTTPD 3.3b30 (www/xshttpd) and uses /usr/local/etc/mime.types from misc/mime-support as its mime-types index. Because of that, it sends back application/xhtml+xml.
