Pentium 100, 64Mb RAM >Description: Get packages XFree* from ftp.freebsd.org and install it with pkg_add. When I try to start xf86cfg I got message "out of memory". When I try to start xf86config I got message "Failed to allocate memory". When I run ktrace /usr/X11R6/bin/xf86cfg I saw that this program looking for libc in /usr/X11R6/lib instead of /usr/lib. I make simlink to libc from /usr/X11R6/lib and next time I saw in kdump output that xf86cfg failed to run due to absence of /etc/make.conf. Of course I can try to make appropriate link in /etc and select appropriate letter but I think that something wrong with package. (xf86config under ktrace looking for libncurses in /usr/X11R6/lib). When I make package on another 4.6.2 machine and install it xf86config works properly. startx olso failed to start on that machine but I do not make XFree-Client package yet so I think that something wrong with all (or at most all) XFree* packages with 1 Sep date on ftp.freebsd.org >How-To-Repeat: May be this problem will repeat if you get XFree* packages from ftp.freebsd.org and install them on 4.6.2 FreeBSD. >Fix: Rebuild packages (I think :) ). >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
