While it has been discussed here that VESA doesn't work, it would still be nice to be able to load simple VGA splash screens, I tried but the module didn't load (in fact there is no module). Maybe I had something wrong, has anyone done it? BTW, for those interested in KGI, it doesn't build yet due to 64bit issues :(. Another thing is that I've been trying to do some updates and testing with the SVR4 compat module but it looks like it's never been considered for amd64. With a couple OpenSolaris live filesystem distributions out there now available it would be a nice thing to have. cheers, Pedro.
