Probably camera needs isochronous transfer (you bought wrong one) which is not
supported on oldusb on 7 STABLE. (read BUGS section of ehci(4) manpage)

usb2 (USB4BSD) from FreeBSD 8.0 CURRENT is supposed to have better support for
isochronous transfers.
