Hi,
I'm, using FreeBSD 2.10 and things are pretty smooth with one
exception:
When I have serial support compiled in, the kernel boots, but
the video changes to a one-inch high bar situated horizontly
across the middle of the display.
The system still boots as I can type commands blindly and issue
the shutdown command, though I can't see myself doing any of
this.
Serial support is to blame; things work fine with when it is
disabled. I have a Pentium 75 system with a ATI Mach64 video
card.
Any hints on getting the systen to work with serial support
so the screen stays sane?
Thanks
