When I run my own FreeBSD nis server everything's ok. But when I ypbind -Sanotherdomain,anotherserver boot hangs at mountd and ^C'ing it hangs later at sendmail forever. Also I'm unable to log in in multiuser mode at the console (under root). Is there a way to verify (very early) that the ypbind is successful and if not, fall back to non-nis mode? --Chris Christoph P. U. Kukulies kuku@gil.physik.rwth-aachen.de
