You should be able to plug in the Bt848 driver on your 2.x system and
if while trying to compile the driver you get opt_bktr.h not found
for now just create an empty one in your kernel build area .
3.0-current users don't have to worry about it because
/sys/i386/conf/options.i386 has been updated to include this line:

OVERRIDE_TUNER             opt_bktr.h


Last week driver updates have been mostly minor bug fixes except
in the case of Roger Hardiman's which the driver was crashing with
one of his boards --- he was trying to switch between NTSC and
PAL and his board supports both formats -- however I suspect that
we don't have too many users with such capability
(NTSC feed and PAL feed) and boards which support both formats.
At any rate a temporary fix has been checked in.
