The current split between > 2.2.xx systems and 3.0 -current also does not help. The only 'split' between the code is due to lack of testing resources for myself. If that weren't an issue, the only code changes between 3.0 and 2.2.* would be related to select/poll changes, which consists of about 30 lines of code.
