is there a general fix slotted for ELF people the fix the major/minor expectation on shared libraries? a lot of ports compile fine except the barf out when the Makefile checks for libwhatever.so.maj.min instead of libwhaever.so.maj when making sure dependancies are installed. or at least it seems to be what's wrong.
