actually, i got rid of these errors (add Module section to XF86Config,
see man page ...)

but i have still been unable to use the font(s).
does PEX require a special application to make use of it?
"mkfontdir" doesn't work with PEX extensions ...

and i can't find XIE fonts - although i have it's lib.
