We will have one firewall, two web servers, and one database server, all of which will be running FreeBSD. N= ote, I was not given a budget for additional hardware, so I want to use only t= he resources I already have. The web service requires the use of virtual hosting, so I am looking for = ideas or links (books, articles, websites) on how to best set this up. The goal= is for the firewall to pass a client to one of the two web servers. Each web= server will be running Apache with IP-based virtual hosting. = How is this done? Do I create one interface alias for each IP address (us= ed in virtual hosting) on the firewall? = Again, any links to books, articles, or sites would be greatly appreciate= d. As this is my first foray into this type of configuration I am something of = a newbie. I did do a search on freebsd-isp, but keywords such as "web serve= r," "configuring," and "firewall configuration" didn't give me what I had hop= ed to find. I am also looking for information on HA/load balancing for a web service = that is FreeBSD based. Links to this information are welcome as well. :) Regards, Dustin --- Dustin Puryear http://members.telocity.com/~dpuryear In the beginning the Universe was created.
