Yes, anything can be used as swap space, but be sure to determine the correct device file, or else you'll overwrite precious data. If, for example, you have the Linux swap on the second slice on the first IDE drive, the device file would be: /dev/ad0s2 (at least for 4.9, I think for 5.X it's /dev/ad0s2c but I'm not sure). Daniela
