Stan, Try getting a hold of the PAO distribution from http://www.mt.cs.keio.ac.jp/person/hosokawa/PAO/ Tatsumi Hosokawa <hosokawa@mt.cs.keio.ac.jp> and friends have been hard at work developing stuff to run FreeBSD on portables. Once I found the PAO distribution, I was able to use my PCMCIA cards with FreeBSD.
