This is fine, otherwise you could also have filed a PR.

The documentation is updated more or less continuously and the version
on the website is updated once (or twice) a day.

Yes, it seems like it needs to be updated. Perhaps the text should be
changed into a bit more generic version, which points the user at the
error message from the port, which is generated when the distfiles does
not exits, so the handbook doesn't have to be updated every time the jdk
port is updated...

I don't think so (I think it would have been corrected if anyone had
noticed it), thanks for pointing it out.
