Hi folks, One question: When I use the ports system to install software it fetches missing stuff from the Internet and stores it under /usr/ports/distfiles.= Now imagine I've installed Afterstep with the ports system on machine 1. The next thing I do is installing a fresh free-bsd system on machine 2. When I copy the files from /usr/ports/distfiles on machine 1 to the same location on machine 2, will it automatically detect them when I try to install Afterstep on machine 2, so that it doesn't download the required files for AfterStep again? See ya, Nils (Also note my question about CD-BURNING with an IDE burner under FreeBSD I've posted here earlier) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
