Save it in a file, remove anything before # this line, and then unpack it by entering "sh file". Note, it may # create directories; files and directories will be owned by you and # have default permissions. # # This archive contains: # # zxfer # zxfer/pkg-descr # zxfer/Makefile # zxfer/distinfo # echo c - zxfer mkdir -p zxfer > /dev/null 2>&1 echo x - zxfer/pkg-descr sed 's/^X//' >zxfer/pkg-descr << '1d764d8a957fd126cd94ba5148dd4dae' XZxfer is a fork of zfs-replicate. It allows the easy and reliable backup, Xrestore or transfer of zfs filesystems, either locally or remotely. X XZxfer has the following features: X * Written in sh with only one dependency, rsync. Rsync mode is not used X in a typical restore, hence in that situation all you need is the X zxfer script, your backup and an install CD/DVD. X * Reliability is first priority - the only methods of transfer allowed X are those that checksum/hash the transferred data. X * Transfer to or from a remote host via ssh. X * Recursive and incremental transfer of filesystems (via snapshots). X * Transfer properties and sources of those properties (e.g. local or X inherited). X * Override properties in the transfer, e.g. for archival purposes X it is useful to override "copies" and "compression". X * Create all filesystems on the destination as necessary. X * Write backup files to aid in automatically restoring the original X properties that have been overridden. X * A comprehensive man page with examples. X * Can be set to beep on error or when done, useful for long transfers. X * Features an rsync mode for when two different snapshotting regimes are on X source and destination, and zfs send/receive won't work.
