Freebsd 6.2 current

Having major issues with my ethernet card

It seems like one out of every 20 boots will get it working,

It used to work fine everytime,
It than started getting flaky, i wired up a new cat5e, and still no luck
booting into windows or dsl or anything else works fine no issues.

Why would this work once upon a time and not now?

whats the deal with these broadcoms
