 AFAIR this was corrected several months ago. I haven't tested but 
 remember a committ message which mentioned the correction.
 I don't have qt on my desktop any more, but a quick 'gpg -c 
 ~/.Xauthority' showed that gtk-pinentry works with !"§$%&/()=?
