Hello guys! I've installed a 2.0 system for a friend of mine and also XFree-3.1.1 and the xview package, and .....! Now the problem: We compile xvnews-2.3 successfully, but after starting xvnews the following warning occurs: System warning: No such file or directory, extras menu file /usr/lib/./usr/X11R6/lib/.text_extras_menu (Textsw package) A version compiles (shared) on my 1.1.5.1 system with X11R5 runs on 2.0 without any trouble! So it can't be an effect of the libs. Even if we unset the OPENWINHOME variable (bash, unset) the warning is exactly the same. So there must be something wrong in the XView.* config files? Who can help? Thanks and regards Lars -- _______________________________________________________________________________ Lars Köller E-Mail: University of Rostock (Germany) lars.koeller@odie.physik2.Uni-Rostock.DE Fachbereich Physik Universitätsplatz 3 Phone: +49 381/498-1665 or 498-1648 18051 Rostock Fax: +49 381/498-1667
