I was having loads of trouble keeping my fbsd box running. I couldn't make it through the day without about 20 reboots. The system would freeze or reboot itself. I replaced the drive controller, memory and cache ram. No luck. Same behavior. Finally I replaced the Cyrix chip (DX2-80) with a 486DX-50 and it has been working like a dream.
