Hi,

can someone tell me why when I use KDE and start an XTERM to a remote host I get garbage on my screen until I change my
terminal type to vt100. My default terminal type is always cons25.
With XFCE, I don't change anything. It's all fine. I am just a little confused with these terminal thingies.

TIA

-Wash
