[-- Attachment #1 --] Hi All, I installed Freebie 2.2.7 Release. Am thinking of upgrading it to version 3.2 Stable. Should I do an 3.2 upgrade first or just select 3.2 stable (ftp'ying from releng3.freebsd.org) instead? Is this the correct way? Am confused here... I understood that there're many ways to do it. But i think ftp'ying and do "sysinstall" sounds easier... In "freebsd diary" it says just download the "src" the do the "sysinstall" (i hope i got that right). Which what I did. Is it sufficient just downloading the "src" from 3.2 Stable, compile, reboot and expect to have "stable" there on the srceen? Also I wonder where does the new kernel "src" reside? Does it parked at /usr/bin? How does one "sysinstall" it? Thanks [-- Attachment #2 --] <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" http-equiv=Content-Type> <META content="MSHTML 5.00.2014.206" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV><FONT size=2>Hi All,</FONT></DIV> <DIV>I installed Freebie 2.2.7 Release.
