Hi there! I'm trying to get LaTeX and friends working. I've used it before when I used Linux and wants to use it in FreeBSD2.2 aswell. I have the following packages installed: teTeX-0.4 tex-3.14159 latex2e-96.12 ghostscript-4.03 pkfonts118-1.0 and when I do "latex file.tex" it responds: This is TeX, Version 3.14159 (C version 6.1) (Fatal format file error; I'm stymied) What is wrong? Do I really need both teTeX and those other packages? Looks a bit big to me. Mvh: Tommy
