Wouldn't it much better you use an editor which is able to edit files in 
unix node? There're several one's, eg.
- Mr. Ed: http://www.utopia-planitia.de/
- Programmers File Editor
- Visual Slick-Edit
- WinEdit
...

You can also use the dosunix-port which is able to format dos file into 
unix and vice versa.
