I think that Terry did an excellent job as well. I too agree Jordan, that it needs to me SGML-ified and that it should be refered to as Binary Compatibility.. Much better than emulation, when ever I hear emulation, the first thing that pops into my mind is "It probably won't work" =) Scott -----Original Message----- From: Jordan Hubbard [mailto:jkh@zippy.cdrom.com] Sent: Wednesday, June 02, 1999 11:58 PM To: Terry Lambert Cc: SBenjamin@quest.com; freebsd-chat@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: Binary Compatibility > FreeBSD has an abstraction called an "execution class loader". When can I sign you up to write a book related to FreeBSD? :-) Seriously, I think this needs to be SGML-ified and turned into a Handbook section on "emulation". I also don't much like the negative implication of "emulation" and now refer to it as "Linux binary compatability" rather than using the dreaded e-word. - Jordan To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-chat" in the body of the message
