hi, i am trying to install a plip connection between two fbsd boxes. The laptop appears to be working (at least, after i ifconfig lp0 192.168.2.2 192.168.2.1, i can ping 192.168.2.2), but the server does not (can't ping 192.168.2.1, the local lp0 port). The relevant parts of my dmesg output on the server: ppc0: <Parallel port> at port 0x378-0x37f irq 7 on isa0 ppc0: Generic chipset (EPP/NIBBLE) in COMPATIBLE mode plip0: <PLIP network interface> on ppbus0 lpt0: <Printer> on ppbus0 lpt0: Interrupt-driven port Note that it doesn't say anything about lp0, as mentioned in the handbook entry. Any ideas/suggestions?
