But for all the functionality, OS X is better. I simply don't need a mobile computer beyond what my Lifebook provides, currently, or I'd have bought one already. And as I work with xterms mostly, FreeBSD is actually a bit faster than OSX in that department. Also, the Lifebook has serial-out, which is useful sometimes ;-) cheers, Rainer
