Don't think so.  I'm surprised that it ever mattered.  I have near-zero 
experience with MS Proxy, my post was probably a little "off the cuff"...I 
defer to anyone with more experience with that product.  I agree with your 
suggestion to make the FreeBSD box the gateway.
