I have not used > kmail on FreeBSD yet. Interesting. I haven't had any problems downloading 100+ emails with kmail under FreeBSD. But then again, it's not often that I get that many emails. I would do a search on the KDE mailing lists, freebsd-questions archive, and then if all else fails, ask in freebsd-questions (warning: high volume list).
