I have a PCMCIA LinkSys EC2T network card. I dug around and learned that I should be able to use the NE2000 driver, which is 'ed'. This should be doable, but I think the problem is that I'm not specifying things correctly in my kernel config file. What is the correct way (format, arguments) to specify a PCMCIA net card in the config file? It seems to accept the PCMCIA controller. The boot messages contain: pcic-pci0: at device 19.0 on pci0 But it doesn't seem to see the network card. ifconfig is unaware of it. If someone has a similar situation working (PCMCIA network card), I'd love to see the appropriate sections of your kernel config file. Obviously, the addresses, etc. may be different, but it would let me know the correct format to get the PCMCIA controller online, and then have the network driver properly connected to it. Thanks :-) David Calkins David_Calkins@hotmail.com ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message
