I'm sorry, I posted about this before, and in my enthusiasm
assumed you all read it.

Blender is an in-house developed animation/modeling program
that has been used in commercial productions for the past
eight years. In January it has been released on the Internet.

Blender is currently freely available for SGI, and a port to 
FreeBSD/Linux is in the making. This is binary only, no source
at this point, it may or may not change in the future, I
don't know.
