The following reply was made to PR ports/42166; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Mario Sergio Fujikawa Ferreira <lioux@FreeBSD.org> To: Chris Shenton <cshenton@Palimpsest.it.hq.nasa.gov> Cc: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: ports/42166: port audio/freeamp has disappeared Date: Thu, 29 Aug 2002 13:35:06 -0300 On Thu, Aug 29, 2002 at 04:00:54PM -0000, Chris Shenton wrote: > > >Description: > /usr/ports/audio/freeamp used to exist and I built from it. > http://www.freebsd.org/ports/audio.html points to it, but > there's nothing there when you click a link. pkg_add -r > freeamp-2.1.1_3 fails to find the package contents. > > >How-To-Repeat: > Hit http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/url.cgi?ports/audio/freeamp/pkg-descr > or do "pkg_add -r freeamp-2.1.1_3" FreeA*P has been replaced with zinf. Due to some licensing issues with the name AMP (check http://www.zinf.org/), FreeA*P has been replaced with a new name zinf. There are other differences as well. Please check http://www.zinf.org/ for more information. The port for zinf lies in /usr/ports/audio/zinf The FreeBSD ports pages are automatically updated. They will reflect the change. -- Mario S F Ferreira - DF - Brazil - "I guess this is a signature."
