I've left this in Bruce's hands for the last few months, given that he
actually has a Cyclades board to test and I've not the first idea
about it myself.

Bruce?  I think Brian has a more than reasonable point that his
possibly low performance something is certainly a lot better than
whatever high-performance nothing it is you currently have in the
tree. :-) If we're not adopting his stuff for a reason, would you care
to enlighten all of us (not just me) as to just exactly what reason
that is?

Thanks!  I don't mean to sound hostile, but I hate to see contributors
simply ignored - it sends the worst sort of message.
