Hi - I'm sorry my last response was not correct. It seems to be a 
combination of root logon on any tty will get the messages but any 
logon on tty0 will get them too. 

I was logged on as root on tty0 and myself on tty1 it appeared that 
I was getting them everywhere !

Still wouldn't mind avoiding them whoever I'm logged on as though.
