My setup is:- 1 mail server with 6.0 running NFS to serve mailboxes in standard unix format 2 webmail servers running a customised squirrellmail mounting the mailboxes from the main server (Yes, i know this is a nasty setup). All servers are talking over gigabit ethernet with an MTU set to 9000, they are all running Intel gigabit cards. Basically the mail server was running 5.1 and was working fine. I upgraded to 6.0 and now the NFS screws up all the time. The symtoms are failing NFS connections and corrupted mailboxes. Server errors are:- Feb 27 08:43:11 cwsmail-pri kernel: nfsd send error 32 Feb 27 08:56:47 cwsmail-pri kernel: nfsd send error 32 Feb 27 09:00:33 cwsmail-pri kernel: nfsd send error 32 Feb 27 09:12:21 cwsmail-pri kernel: nfsd send error 32 Feb 27 09:15:48 cwsmail-pri kernel: nfsd send error 32 Feb 27 09:24:11 cwsmail-pri last message repeated 11 times Feb 27 09:28:57 cwsmail-pri last message repeated 9 times Client errors are:- Feb 27 09:29:27 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs send error 35 for server 172.31.255.100:/var Feb 27 09:29:33 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs send error 35 for server 172.31.255.100:/var Feb 27 09:29:34 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs server 172.31.255.100:/var: not responding Feb 27 09:29:37 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs server 172.31.255.100:/var: not responding Feb 27 09:29:38 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs send error 35 for server 172.31.255.100:/var Feb 27 09:29:40 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs server 172.31.255.100:/var: not responding Feb 27 09:29:43 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs server 172.31.255.100:/var: not responding Feb 27 09:29:43 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs send error 35 for server 172.31.255.100:/var Feb 27 09:29:48 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs send error 35 for server 172.31.255.100:/var Feb 27 09:29:51 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs server 172.31.255.100:/var: not responding Feb 27 09:29:53 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs send error 35 for server 172.31.255.100:/var Feb 27 09:29:53 cwswebmail-1 kernel: nfs server 172.31.255.100:/var: is alive again Any help will be very much appreciated.
