Everything works all right: I've tried it under both old mount scheme and with devfs mounted /dev (well, I did that before as well, of course). I should have thought, though, that in this last case there's no /dev/dsp, /dev/mixer and so on (there are /dev/dsp0,..), while most apps expect them to be.
