Ah.  Glad to see that my hunch was correct.

I'd be surprised if 2.2.5 makes any difference.  The correct way to
get rid of a bug is to fix it, not to look for a version which doesn't
have it.  What you really need to do is to stay with 2.2.6 and build a
debug kernel.  Then take a dump when it crashes, and get somebody to
look at it.
