I have tried to find how to make ranger work with non-ascii characters in an utf-8 environment without success. But ranger works in an environment with LANG=3DC. Therefore I propose the patch as attached. It simply adds from os import putenv putenv('LANG', 'C') to ranger.py. What do you think about this method?
