OK: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=168298 I thought it was most likely a bug in VirtualBox to be honest - broken AIO and ZFS would be bad, but also highly noticeable in other configurations, and this only seems to affect VBox. cheers, -pete.
