Hello. I have a problem. My isp switched to a new phone # since I have an X2 modem, which they now fully support. Previously, I had been logging manually by typeing "term", "atdt#######", login name, password, etc. Now, when I dial up to my isp's new number, instead of giving me a prompt it just connects and sits there, since I have not authenticated my self. This means my ppp doesn't work with my new # under BSD. I want to set up my ppp to work with the new server, an NT box. Do I have to use PAP? CHAP? How do I set those things up? Thanks. -Spike Gronim spork@cncn.com "Hacker, n: One who hacks real good" --Computer Contradictionary To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
