You may launch wdm (and near any program you can launch from init=20 gettys) with the script using this in /etc/rc.conf: xdm_program=3D"/urs/X11R6/bin/wdm" xdm_enable=3D"YES" You only lost the special 'config test before launch' that you have for=20 gdm/kdm/xdm. =2D- josemi
